StoreHunt (storehunt.io) offers free tools for ecommerce merchants on the web and inside AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude. This policy explains what data those tools handle and why. In short: you don't need an account, we don't use tracking cookies, and the store scans we keep are about public websites, not about you.
Who is responsible
StoreHunt is operated by Antoine Billet, sole proprietorship (entreprise individuelle) trading as Dexty (RCS Mâcon 882 474 471, 11 Rue Ambroise Paré, 71850 Charnay-lès-Mâcon, France), the data controller for the processing described here. Contact: contact@storehunt.io.
What we handle, and why
Calculators
On the website, calculators such as the ROAS and CPM calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to our servers. When you use a calculator through ChatGPT or Claude, the numbers are sent to our server to compute the result and returned straight away; we don't store them.
Store audit and apps detector
When you enter a store address, our server loads that store's public pages (as any visitor's browser would) and analyzes them. We store the store's domain, the time of the scan and the results (for example the apps and theme detected, and the audit score). We use these records to show recent results again without rescanning the store for 24 hours, to improve detection, and to produce statistics about online stores. These records describe public websites; they don't include your IP address or any identifier linking a scan to the person who ran it.
Technical data
Like any website, our hosting provider receives technical data such as your IP address, browser user agent and the pages requested, in order to deliver and protect the service. We use your IP address briefly, in memory, to limit how many scans can be run per minute; it isn't written to our database. Request logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period to troubleshoot errors.
What we don't do
- No user accounts, so no names, emails or passwords.
- No advertising or analytics cookies, and no third-party tracking scripts.
- We don't sell data.
ChatGPT and Claude
When you use StoreHunt inside an AI assistant, the assistant sends our server only the inputs our tools need (a store address or the numbers for a calculation) along with standard request data. We don't receive your conversation. How the assistant itself handles your chats is governed by its provider's privacy policy (OpenAI for ChatGPT, Anthropic for Claude).
Legal basis
Under the GDPR, we rely on our legitimate interest in providing, securing and improving a free service. The technical data above is necessary to deliver the site.
Service providers
We use Cloudflare to host the site, run its database and keep request logs. Cloudflare processes data on our behalf and may do so outside the European Union under appropriate safeguards (EU Standard Contractual Clauses).
How long we keep data
- Scan and audit results: kept while the service runs, as a record of public websites.
- Request logs: kept by Cloudflare for a short period, then deleted.
- Rate-limit counters: a few minutes, in memory.
If you own a store and want its scan records removed, email us from an address on that store's domain or explain how you're connected to it, and we'll delete them.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete personal data about you, or object to its processing, by writing to contact@storehunt.io. If you're in the EU, you can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
Links to other sites
Our tools link to other sites, including the Shopify App Store listings of Sellify and Iconic. Those links carry UTM tags (such as utm_source=storehunt) so the listing can tell which tool a visit came from; they contain no personal data. Other sites have their own privacy policies.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, for example by adding analytics, we'll update this page and the date above.
